| Mr. Golam Saeed was elected to the Office of the President in January. As a Vice President of MCA for past 4 years, Mr. Sayeed has been instrumental in scheduling, communication and MCA Administration. He was recently selected by USACA as their representative to Bangladesh Cricket Board and matched the profile by exploring some exciting cricketing partnerships. Mr. Sayeed is also the president of GMCC and recepient of several “Presidential Awards for outstanding contribution” to MCA.

| Mr. Yunus has been the Assistant VP for the last 2 years. He has been instrumental in our communications and IT advancement and acted as technical advisors at various occasions. Mr. Yunus has been an active member of MCA community since 2001. Mr. Yunus is also a recipient of “Presidential Award for outstanding contribution” to MCA.

| A young, enthusiast individual who also happen to be the president of one of our most dedicated and happening young UofM students’ team, Knights, Mr. Saeed is no stranger to MCA. At numerous occasions he has mobilized the community and served MCA as a volunteer. His dedication and volunteerism has been exemplary among the community and has inspired many. Mr. Saeed is originally from Pakistan and has been an active MCA member since 2005. He is currently a full-time student at University of Minnesota and an active member of student cricket community. Mr. Saeed is also a recipient of “Presidential Award for outstanding contribution” to MCA.

Lochan Samkaran

| As a veteran and priceless asset to MCA, Mr. Samkaran needs no introduction. He is one of the founding members of MCA and his dedication year and year has increased and his hunger for cricket development has earned him respect and applause among his cricketing peers and professionals alike. Originally from Guyana, Mr. Samkaran was MCA President from 1996 – 2000 and had held many positions in MCA since then. His most recent stint with MCA as treasurer has brought the much needed stability and transparency to MCA financials. As a treasurer and advisor to MCA, his contribution has been valuable and the association continues to thrive. Mr. Samkaran is also a recipient of “Presidential Award for outstanding contribution” to MCA.

MCA Appointed Committees

| MCA Umpiring committee for 2010 is chaired by head umpires Mr. Alston Dutchin and Mr. Hassan Mian. Committee members include Mr. Charles Peterson, Mr. Dwight Stewart, Mr. Hemant Bhakta, Mr. Faraz Shaukat, and Mr. Chandra Pakala. The primary purpose of the committee is to ensure a high standard of officiating for all MCA games. The committee conducted four seminars this season. In every seminar, the head umpires along with Mr. Charles Peterson had an interactive discussion with the attendees and explained the laws of the game. A set of stumps with an crease was at the center of the room. This allowed for all attendees to have a practical insight and ask any questions.The committee has set a very high standard and goals for 2010. Umpires have been encouraged to officate extra games and rules have been clearly stated. The interactive sessions is something new for the league and the results have been very impressive so far. The committee has take the responsibility of teaching the rules of the game to the players and to ensure that there is a consistency of umpiring.Mr. Alston Dutchin is one of the founding members of the league and has been a head umpire and president before. His experience with umpiring has been an asset for the committee and his leadership has been essential for grooming new umpires. Mr. Hassan Mian is the Captain of Knights Cricket Club.
