Dear Board Members,

MCA will be hosting a private event with Cummins Power Generation. The organization will bring their employees together for an evening of floodlit cricket !

The event will be hosted at Fairoaks Ground from 5:30 – 10 PM tomorrow, Tuesday – September 20.

MCA members are invited to visit the ground and enjoy an evening of fun and floodlit cricket. Let’s support this event as it will help us build MCA profile for future corporate engagements. We are also seeking a few volunteers to assist MCA with the arrangements. If you would like to volunteer, simply show up at the ground around 5 PM.

This event has been made possible by MCA community members and with active engagement of MCA XI. Thank You !

See you all.

Congratulations to MCA Champion 2011, Div 2 Champion …

Friends CC are the MCA 2011 Champion, second year in a row. Falcons beat MN Chargers to take the Division II Championship. Congratulations to both the teams.

The finals wouldn’t have been well-organized without the dedicated volunteers. Thank You to Pradeep Reddy for stepping up to assist MCA. Thank You to all the team representatives who made it to the ground and executed their assigned tasks well.

Here is a video clip from the final:

The Youth Cricket game organized by Charles Peterson also brought many kids and youth to the ground. We are extremely pleased with the progress in the Cricket development domain. Thank You Charles.

After a prolific performance by Friends CC, particularly their centurion Captain, Vijay Sundramurthy, Knights were convincingly beaten in the finals. With both Captains of each team leading from the front, all players displayed excellent sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the game. After scoring 204, Knights bowlers took the early breakthroughs and kept a tight control overs their bowling. The game was balanced until the chase was halfway, but Vijay Sundramurthy saved his best for the middle overs and executed in style. A well deserved win indeed for Friends CC.

Falcons beat MN Chargers to qualify for the Divison I along with Bhakta A. Chasing a mere 120, Falcons weren’t let go easily. MN Chargers displayed some of the best bowling in the tournament and brought the game close. At the end, Falcons comfortably won the contest and took Division II Champion Trophy home.

All four Umpires and the Match referee, I Thank You for your support and administration of the game within the stipulated rules and regulation. Indeed, it was a job well done. Your passion and dedication to the game is well appreciated and admired.

For all the volunteers/players fasting, who stayed till the end along with other volunteers, MCA Executives Thank You for your support and acknowledge your commitment to the game.

I look forward to your participation in the T/20 Championship. The schedule is posted online and downloadable. Please review and inform us of any infractions.

Enjoy rest of the Cricket season. We value your input, and look forward to your feedback.
